Additional support for the development of enterprises and agriculture

Another 60 million dollars in disbursed lending, in collaboration with the DFC and USAID

ProCredit Bank and the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC) signed a Guarantee Scheme to provide assistance to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as registered agricultural holdings.

The Guarantee was secured with the help of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, in association with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which promotes equal opportunities for the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Serbia.

A 12-year Credit Portfolio Guarantee Agreement with the DFC will improve economic recovery following the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and will also serve to stimulate and create new jobs and economic growth. Furthermore, the Guarantee will strengthen the resilience of these enterprises, enabling them to cope with future economic change.

This form of support, in the amount of 60 million dollars, offers lending opportunities without having to provide further pledges. The Guarantee will be available to clients over the next two years, and ProCredit will earmark a certain amount of funding toward agricultural loans and green investments, with special focus on the most vulnerable regions of Serbia.
