What does video identification mean?
Video identification allows you to open a new account quickly and easily, without having to visit the bank.
Once you have filled in your basic personal information online, you will be directed to a live video call with one of our advisors who will check your personal document and conduct an identity check, just as they would if you were in the bank.
This is why it is necessary for you to be in a well-lit space, without a lot of noise.
Video identification is possible during our Online Centre’s business hours, every work day from 08:00-20:00h and Saturdays from 09:00-12:00h.
Follow these steps to open an account online
Prepare to use either your smart phone or computer equipped with a camera
Get comfortable in a quiet, calm space with adequate lighting to ensure the process runs smoothly.
Have your personal ID card or passport ready, so that we can identify you
If you have a personal ID card with a chip, prepare your read personal ID card in order to confirm your place of residence.
Take 20 minutes out of your day
Once you have filled in the main form on our website, you will be connected with our Online Centre Advisor who will guide you through the video identification process.
Documentation will be sent to the Inbox of your eBanking application
Once you have registered, documentation will be sent to your Inbox in your eBanking application on the same or the following day. Simply sign the documentation by generating a TAN code in order to activate your account.
