Kako započeti karijeru bez prethodnog (bankarskog) iskustva?

Odlična vest je da ne tražimo prethodno (bankarsko) iskustvo. Još bolja vest je da aktivno učestvujemo u obuci novih kolega kako bi na što produktivniji način započeli karijeru u ProCredit banci.

Prvi koraci u banci su kroz naš Onboarding program uz koji se naše nove kolege upoznaju sa svetom bankarstva, ali i vrednostima naše banke.

Pored praktičnog dela u kome se obučavate u prostorijama banke uz stalnu podršku mentora i starijih kolega, imate i jedinstvenu priliku da se pridružite i teorijskom delu obuke u našem trening centru na Avali.
Ovaj period obuke se održava na engleskom jeziku a evo kako on izgleda. So let’s continue in English!

How does teorethical part of the onboarding looks like?

1. About us

Hello and welcome!


For those of you who have not done an internship with us, this is your first interaction with the ProCredit group, a week during which you will have the chance to ask questions and discover what ProCredit is all about. It is conducted in our Head office in Belgrade and you can expect to receive answers to many of the questions you may have: 

Who exactly is behind ProCredit? What drives the company? What is the ProCredit way of banking and what is the rationale behind it? Is ProCredit’s claim of being a “responsible bank” more than just hot air? 

You will get to know our core values and principles, as described in our Code of Conduct, and very importantly we will clearly explain to you who we are and who we are not.

This course goes beyond the surface of ProCredit's operations. It delves into the philosophical landscape, exploring the moral dimensions of defining business relationships and the impact of morality and justice on decision-making. Moreover, the course emphasizes the significance of inclusion and diversity within our company, recognizing their pivotal roles in fostering innovation and creating an ethical and thriving work environment. 

3. Identity meets responsibilty

What makes one company different from another?


“It is not only for what we do that we are held responsible, but also for what we do not do.” – Molière 

Who am I? What makes me who I am? Who do I want to be? Do my actions reflect how I see myself? Do these questions also apply to institutions, such as ProCredit? These questions are not only vital for tapping into our identity, but also for choosing an employer.
 

4. Time value of money

This course will help you to better understand key concepts of how time affect our money. You will learn about compounding interest rate, effective interest rate, loans and deposits.
 

 

5. Our clients and services


Do we choose our clients or do they choose us?


A long-term relationship is based on mutual understanding, trust and shared values. For that reason, our business model is based on the idea of providing efficient services to specific types of clients. ProCredit banks are specialised banks for small and medium-sized enterprises, and we aim to be their “Hausbank” – the bank that handles most, or ideally all, of their banking business. We also actively address middle- and high-income private individuals who are interested in modern banking services. This might make us seem exclusive, but for a long-term relationship it is very important that we share the same understanding of growth, development, transparency, and social and environmental awareness with our clients.
 

6. Sustainability

Why does sustainability matter for ProCredit?


In the wake of the catastrophic events that have taken place in recent years – drought, flooding, forest fires, to name just a few – there is a growing realisation that exploitation of the Earth’s resources at present levels is not sustainable. These events have both direct and indirect consequences for the economies in which we operate. But what can we, as individuals and as employees of a bank, do to protect the planet we live on? At ProCredit, we are convinced that there is a lot we can do. So, during this block, you will learn about our sustainable approach.
 

7. Banking and Society

"Banking and Society" offers a unique exploration of the interplay between financial institutions and societal dynamics. Break free from banking stereotypes, understand the evolution of money, and navigate ProCredit's role as a development bank. Dive into the societal impact of banking, questioning individual and institutional roles in shaping and challenging norms within the rapidly changing financial landscape. 
 

8. Protraining

In „Protraining" you are back in the bank, but still not yet in the office. We organise this training in our Head Office with the idea to:

  • Further Introduce you to our Organization Structure
  • Offer hands-on training or simulations to Banks’ Applications , you will learn hot to navigate and use them
  • Go through various mandatory trainings
  • Interact with experienced team members for practical insights in various departments in the bank
     

 

9. Hard skills trainings

Before you start to work we will help you to master all the main neccesary tools. You will get (or improve) your Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills. We will go throught basic and advanced functions and techniques along with practices in real life examples. We will adress common issues or errors users might face and we'll provide resources for additional support in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
 

10. On the job training

Back to the office! 
 

You’ve been our colleague for some time now. Your internship, Avala Training Centre training and additional local workshops have finished and it’s time for you to go back to the office, back to your practical training, preparing for “real” work. Based on your contribution so far, on your potential, and on the current needs of the bank, we will agree on which position is the best fit for you. This part of your jouney is very much related to your specific position. 
 

11. Final project

This is the final event that marks the end of your onboarding journey.  This project serves as a milestone to show your determination, understanding and contribution. It is your chance to use all accumulated knowledge and skills and even to reflect on your first steps and to be rightfully proud of your achievements and progress so far.
