ProCredit Bank involved in educating secondary school students on the subject of financial literacy

Financial Literacy programme

From December of this year a new educational cycle will commence on the education of secondary school students through the Financial Literacy project. Secondary students in 20 Serbian cities/towns, from 51 schools, a total of 1500 students, will learn the basis of money, financial flows, banking, investments, loans, household budgeting, etc. thanks to the ‘Education Group’ made up of the following ogranisations: Youth Achievements in Serbia, Nordeus Foundation, Digital Serbia and the Centre for the Promotion of Science, which together created this educational programme.

ProCredit Bank is actively involved in the project, in addition to 10 renowned companies and banks operating in Serbia. A total of five ProCredit bankers have already completed educational training for financial mentors in order to learn how best to pass on financial knowledge to secondary school students through workshops.

ProCredit colleagues will hold workshops in Niš, Kragujevac, Novi Sad, Subotica and Sombor. The Financial Literacy project will last for a total of four months.

We firmly believe that the functional knowledge that we are imparting on the participants will have a great impact on the quality of the big decisions they will make in future.
