Google Pay has arrived in Serbia
Google Pay contactless payments service is now available to all ProCredit Bank clients in Serbia
ProCredit Bank is one of the first banks on the domestic market that provides its clients with the opportunity to use Google Pay contactless payments service.
Google Pay is a fast and simple way of performing secure contactless payments via Android phones and smart watches that support NFC technology. This service consolidates everything needed when making payments and protects payment transaction information through multiple layers of security. In order to benefit from this service, clients can download the Google Wallet application (a digital wallet that is also launching in Serbia today) from Google Play, add their eligible ProCredit Mastercard card to the app by entering all card details, and that is it, Google Pay is ready to use. ProCredit Bank clients can link an unlimited number of Mastercard payment cards to Google Pay.
On top of convenience of being able to pay with their mobile phones anywhere contactless payments are accepted, users will benefit from security of this payment service since their personal information and card data are protected with multiple layers of security, including industry-standard tokenization which ensures that when paying with Google Pay, transactions are made using a virtual card number, i.e. a token, which is unique for a device and changes with each transaction.
For over 20 years, ProCredit Bank has had a full range of services of the highest quality on offer to private individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises and agricultural producers. As a digitally-oriented bank, ProCredit consistently strives to provide its clients with comfort, supporting innovative, simple, quick and efficient payment methods and this is the case with the Google Pay service.
Igor Anić, Chairperson of the Executive Board at ProCredit Bank, said the following: “We have always worked toward providing services of the highest quality to our clients, and to us, this means simplifying and facilitating all banking services. Given the digital approach that we nurture, we are pleased to be among the first to be able to offer this new, innovative payment method.”
