MasterCard Secure Code is a program developed for safe online shopping using ProCredit Bank MasterCard and Maestro cards and in accordance with the 3-D Secure global standard. When making a purchase you confirm your identity to the bank by using the personal password or iPIN, which functions like a PIN at an ATM. The entry and verification of the iPIN/password is done exclusively between you and the bank; the online shop has no access to the information that you exchange.

In this way, you are the only one who can use the payment card at online shops that support payments with MasterCard Secure Code.

 

How does the MasterCard Secure Code program work?

The MasterCard Secure Code service is only offered by online stores that participate in the MasterCard Secure Code program. The shopping process is identical with that of other online retailers; the only difference is that MasterCard Secure Code vendors perform the user authentication when confirming the purchase. How do I sign up for the MasterCard Secure Code service?

You can sign up for the MasterCard Secure Code service at any ProCredit Bank ATM.

You can create your own Internet PIN by performing the transaction "Internet PIN generation". After that you will be automatically registered for this service.

The iPIN number consists of six digits and enables authentication for online transactions.

 

How do I create my password?

You can make payments with the iPIN that you received, but you can also create a personal password with the help of that iPIN (link for a personal password). Once you have defined a password for online payment transactions, the iPIN becomes invalid and can no longer be used to conduct online payments.

 

What should I do if I forget my password or enter the wrong password?

If you have forgotten your password or your card has been blocked by the MasterCard Secure Code program due to three consecutive incorrect password entries, please call the ProCredit Bank Info Centre on +381-11/2057-000 and set a new password by quoting your iPIN (link to the creation and adjustment of personal passwords).

 

What should I do if I lose my iPIN?

If you have lost your iPIN, you must visit the nearest ProCredit Bank ATM and generate a new iPIN with the help of your PIN number.
